Case Study — Industrial & Logistics Jaguar Land Rover Vehicle & Special Operations Facility, Fen End
Lead Cost Manager and Employer’s Agent from inception to handover on a £65m vehicle and special operations facility for Jaguar Land Rover at Fen End, Warwickshire.
The challenge
One home for JLR’s vehicle operations

Jaguar Land Rover needed a dedicated facility at Fen End, near Kenilworth, to bring vehicle operations previously spread across several sites together in one place. The scheme combined a new build warehouse and vehicle workshop, offices and gatehouses with extensive infrastructure and civils works, including a vehicle test track and a number of vehicular bridges.
Procured through a two-stage design and build tender, the project called for tight cost control across buildings, civils and specialist test facilities, all within an 18-month construction programme.
Delivered by Ollie Thompson MRICS in a previous role at Mace.
