Case Study — Education Sidney Stringer Primary School
Quantity Surveyor for a c. £3.5m new two-form entry primary school in Coventry for Sidney Stringer Multi Academy Trust, procured through the EFA regional framework.
The challenge
A new school on a tight city site

Sidney Stringer Multi Academy Trust needed a new two-form entry primary school on a constrained site in Coventry, next to its existing academy buildings and City College, with pedestrian links to Primrose Hill Street and Bath Street.
Fitting the site meant moving away from the EFA’s standard exemplar designs, while still delivering separate teaching and hall blocks and outdoor space for play and learning, within the framework’s cost limits.
Delivered by Ollie Thompson MRICS in a previous role at Mace.
